General Liability Insurance and Certificates of General Liability

Who needs General Liability Insurance? The short answer is, anyone who owns a business.

This policy is designed to protect you in the event of a law suit, or something you could be held liable for.

Typically, if you are doing work for someone they will request a Certificate of General Liability Insurance.

In some circumstances you will need to provide workmen’s compensation coverage and business auto liability on this certificate as well.

These will all have specific limits required based on the job or who you are doing the work for.

These are sent from us, your insurance agency.

As your agent, we are required to obtain the name of the certificate holder , their physical address, and their email, so that we can get this out to them promptly.

I’m many instances they may require you to list them as an additional insured, and we can endorse this on your policy at a fairly low cost as well.
